Tristan Remy: One may criticize at times famous clowns, even more as they are usually spoiled by praise from theatrical reviewers who hide their little knowledge of the trade by excessive laudation. I have previously sometimes reproached the trio for an excessive use of accessories. As each one of them possesses such talent, it was discouraging to see them lost in the “bric-a-brac” of unnecessary and anti-circus.
I do not intend to redress my severity. However, what the trio brings on today in comical accents, light fantasy mixed with measured verve, allow to make them the most homogenous, the most balanced trio whom we have seen since the Fratellini reaching its top glory.
